2004-2008 Head of youth HFC Haarlem (posting by Ajax)

Besides the position of Head of youth, I was Head coach of the young professional team of HFC Haarlem (under 23)  and assistant coach to the professional team. As the head of youth,  I led a team of 40 people, coaches, medical staff, scouting staff and support staff. With a small budget, I transformed the youth academy in 4,5 years into a successful and efficient academy: 35 players made the step from HFC Haarlem to the Ajax academy, one of them being the national team player Gregory van der Wiel.

Achievements

2004-2005 As head coach of the under 17 team we became runner up in the National second division for professional under 17 teams.

2005-2006 As head coach of the under 23 team we became runner up in the National second division for professional under 23 teams.

2006-2007 As assistant coach of the 1st professional team we played the 1/8 Final of the National Dutch Cup against AFC Ajax.

2007-2008 As assistant coach of the 1st professional team we played the 1/4 Final of the National Dutch Cup against SC Heracles.
